Following on from Lee Scott's collaborative album, [gate clicks shut], with Hyroglifics, he returns with a banging new single, with the elusive rapper Sly Moon, 'FDBM' is the title track from their forthcoming album. FDMB (Flipping Dough Making Bread) is "the solid gold, funk-tinted odyssey that fans of Blah artists have been clamouring for for years", according to the Blah Records. The single has an old-school hip-hop feel, with one guitar playing a single rhythmically-strummed chord over a walking bass line and a cool and understated acoustic drum beat. Lee Scott and Sly Moon take it in turns to spill their cutting verses over the track. The FDBM album launch is going to be a double-whammy, featuring two nights at venues in London and Bristol. In conjunction with our friends at Super Mega Bookings, the pair will be taking over Hackney Social on the 24th of November and then heading to Bristol to do the same at Basement 45 on the 26th.
